W'Hawks have plenty of question marks as WHL season looms in January
It was just a couple weeks ago that the 2020-21 WHL season looked like it might not happen in Portland due to considerations regarding to fans in attendance at games. No fans, no games was the league view. With Oregon's restrictions on attendance at anything, that left the possibility Portland would not play at all in the upcoming season. But, the league relented on that element of the season, so having a season began to move something closer for the Winterhawks organization. Nothing, though, has been reported to that end and the season is set to begin across Canada, Jan. 8.
